AP Top 25 College Football Poll: Notre Dame Goes to Number Five
Lots of Changes in the first official AP Top 25 College Football Poll
The 2024 College Football season is underway. Full Press Media is ramping up our college football coverage this season. We have already given you the betting odds for the 2025 National Champion and each conference champion.
There were no rankings after Week 0, but after the official start of College Football this past Labor Day Weekend, the season's first AP Top 25 poll is here. Unsurprisingly, Kirby Smart's Georgia Bulldogs remain number one behind starting quarterback Carson Beck.
Outside of that, there are changes inside the original Top 10. Florida State has lost two straight games. One went to Georgia Tech, and the other to Boston College. Both games were Conference Games. The Preseason Number 10 in the Nation is out of the Top 25. Clemson, after their loss to Georgia, sits at 25.
We saw Notre Dame move up into the Top Five after their win against Texas A&M. Meanwhile, the Miami Hurricanes rose from number 19 to number 12. That probably should be higher, but considering the Florida Gators will not be good this year, expect the Hurricanes to crack the Top 10 next week.

The top three teams of Georgia, Ohio St, and Texas remained the same. Alabama jumped from five to three. Oregon dropped four spots after their unimpressive win at home. Again, style points matter despite their being a 12-team playoff. Most of the Top 25 remained the same.
The defending National Champion Michigan Wolverines dropped one spot. Again, another team did not have a great Week 1 despite winning. Making their way into the Top 25 are the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, who are off to a 2-0 start. Boston College, which just beat Florida State, is on the outside looking in.
