AP Top 25 College Football Poll: Texas Up To Number Two
The 2024 College Football season is underway. We here at Full Press Media are ramping up our college football coverage this season. We have already given you the betting odds for the 2025 National Champion and each conference champion.
Two weeks through the College Football season, we see why the Georgia Bulldogs are the number one team in the nation according to the latest AP Top 25 poll. However, there was a lot of movement inside the Top 10 of the AP Top 25 Poll after Week 2 of the College Football season.
Since the preseason rankings, Ohio St has been number two, but not anymore; Texas, after convincingly beating Michigan, is moving up to number two in the latest poll. Notre Dame, number five last week, dropped to 18 after losing to Northern Illinois. Alabama, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Missouri each moved up a spot with the Fighting Irish's loss.
The Miami Hurricanes moved from 12 to 10 and looked like a top-10 team in the nation, led by Cam Ward. This might be the best Hurricanes team in a long time. Ward is a dynamic quarterback, and the schedule gets more challenging for the Canes, but they are the best team in the ACC.

As mentioned, the top three teams are Georgia, Texas, and Ohio St. Oregon dropped to nine as it underwhelmed again in a challenging game against Boise St. Again, style points matter even though it is a 12-team playoff.
This week, Clemson, Boston College, Nebraska, and Northern Illinois are in the AP Top 25 Poll. Surprisingly, it is to see Syracuse on the outside looking in despite their win over then-number 23 Georgia Tech. Again, there is still a lot of time left.
